You make sense here.

A place where you can spend less energy explaining yourself and more time understanding yourself.

Not everything needs fixing.
Some things need understanding.

Maybe you've always felt a little different, or like certain parts of life take more effort than they seem to for other people. Maybe you've tried to push through, adapt, organize better, communicate better, be less sensitive, be more flexible, and still ended up wondering why it all feels so hard.

Maybe you're starting to wonder about ADHD or autism, or you've recently been diagnosed and are trying to understand yourself through a completely new lens. Sometimes finally having an explanation brings relief. Sometimes it brings a whole new set of questions.

Or maybe you and your partner love each other deeply, but keep missing each other in ways neither of you quite understands. Something small turns into a much bigger fight, and suddenly you're both hurt and wondering how you got there. You may know this isn't how either of you wants things to feel, but have no idea how to stop ending up in the same place.

Hi, I'm Hannah.

I'm an associate marriage and family therapist working with individuals and couples, with a particular passion for neurodivergence and the ways it can shape how we understand ourselves, communicate, connect, and move through the world.

I'm not interested in teaching you how to be like everyone else. There isn't one right way to be a person or one right way to have a relationship. I care about helping you understand yourself and each other well enough to tell the difference between what needs acceptance, what needs accommodation, and what needs to change.

Differences aren't problems to be corrected. They're part of what makes you, you.

Therapy with me doesn't require you to sit a certain way, say the right thing, or leave parts of yourself at the door. Take your shoes off. Curl up on the couch. Grab a fidget or dig your hands into the kinetic sand. Come in unsure of what you want to talk about.

I don't pretend to be a blank slate across from you. I want therapy to feel human, collaborative, and real. We can be curious together, laugh when it fits, slow things down when we need to, and make room for whatever actually shows up.

How I work  ·  My approach

Sometimes our reactions feel bigger than the moment in front of us.

What’s happening on the surface is often only part of the story. Part of our work is getting curious about what’s happening underneath.

For individuals

When life feels overwhelming

The moment

Feeling misunderstood. An endless to-do list. Sensory overload. Too much at once. A sudden change. Unclear cues.

What happens in your system

Overwhelm. Overstimulation. Shutdown. Meltdowns. Tears. Lashing out. Feeling completely depleted.

The story you tell yourself

“Why can’t I just do this?” “Everyone else seems to manage.” “What’s wrong with me?” “I’m too much.” “I’m lazy.” “I’m failing.”

The toll it can take

Shame. Self-doubt. Exhaustion. Masking. Losing trust in yourself or feeling like you’re somehow doing life wrong.

The work isn’t about fixing the way your brain works. It’s about understanding your wiring, separating difference from the shame that may have accumulated around it, and finding ways of functioning that actually fit you.

For couples

When a small moment becomes so much more

The moment

The dishes. A question. A change in tone. Someone pulling away.

What happens internally

The moment connects to something deeper: “I don’t matter.” “I’m being criticized.” “You’re going to leave.” “I can never get it right.”

The reaction

Defend. Pursue. Withdraw. Shut down. Become reactive.

The cycle

Your partner responds, which can reinforce the hurt or fear underneath and keep the pattern going.

The work is slowing the cycle down enough to understand what each person is experiencing beneath the reaction, creating more room for compassion, regulation, and connection.

The goal is to make what happens inside you, and between you, less mysterious.
